Challenge
Homeowners often struggle to understand the costs and benefits of solar energy tailored to their needs. As part of a strategic partnership between zolar and Verivox, we identified an opportunity to address this gap by creating an embedded tool to educate users on potential savings and drive more leads.
Approach
Through workshops with stakeholders from both companies, we mapped out the user journey. I designed a PV calculator that would allow homeowners to calculate savings, view interactive insights on cost and performance, and therefore gain confidence to submit their data for a personalised zolar proposal.
Key Insight
A lightweight iframe solution allowed us to demonstrate business value quickly, proving that lean MVPs can unlock large-scale B2B collaborations.

Prototype & Technical Feasibility
We opted for an iframe MVP to meet Verivox’s timelines of 2 weeks for basic implementation. The feature was sliced into Jira tickets allowing multiple developers from both companies to work in parallel.
